N/A power gain info

Remember you have a 14 year old car and the factory bhp figure quoted was 220bhp IIRR(If I Remember Right), there is going to be some loss of power there.

Still faster than a lot of the TTs anyhow, they are spending most of their time getting them fixed in the garage :)

Are they? my 14 year old, 135k bpu is going strong :p

You would be surprised what a 150 shot can do, the gain in torque is immpressive too, but its not cheap to refill!!!

150 shot. Are you kidding ? and from later posts it seems like withour a progressicve controller ?

I was informed a 100shot with progressive controller to be safe. 150 must be on the verge of too much ?

Aldo, refills will be regular and expensive ?

Back to the speed issue, Rays the Roof had a 100 shot on his N/A and got in the 13s so was well up there with the TTs.

You might not know dude, he's the sort of guy that turns his amp to 11 ;)

There's very few who'd risk running 150 shot on an NA, even 100 is a lot. It just depends how much power you want and whether you want to run the risk of blowing the engine.

I can't see the point myself, the TT engine swap is SO much more cost effective for what you're getting. NOS is a very short lived and quick/expensive fix for not having much power available. It's pretty useless day to day and only of any real benefit on the drag strip.

Damn i thought i was being conservative with 150!!!! The bottom end is very strong and as long as you dont use it at low RPM i canrt see any probs, like Homer says it is inconvinient because you will be refilling all the time, but its good fun while it lasts, i was going to run a 300 shot on mine if i had stayed out long enough:search:

Go for it DUDE,prices being what they are with N/A's at the moment who gives a dam how much bhp you pump into it,I was offered an L plate N/A auto with a years mot last week for £1450!! just keep a nos kit and use disposable supras!

150 shot of Nitrous! I thought 75-100 was probably the safest bet :) Go for it though mate you only live once, then when it blows get a TT engine ;)

Also long as the fuel system is up to scratch and preferably a steel headgasket and uprated head studs and something to control the nos output there shouldn't be anything wrong with 150 shot. Its a bit like going NA-T but the power is out a bottle instead and super cool.

id rather spend my pennies on a single conversion if im thinkin' serious cash on my engine, personally..

And its been said before but why not uprate shocks, dampners, springs, brakes, pads, brake lines, fluid.. brake later and corner faster!

Dude have you considered a device I believe they call traction control as an aid to your 150 shot? I believe this just may do the trick ;) as for the TT do you really want to take a step backwards...................................
