Are you being serious?

"I want xxxbhp"

What do you want to do with it? Drag, track, or just tell your mates you have a xxxbhp car? Why wouldn't you care if it's pre or post transmission losses, which will be of the order 20%? (i.e. not insignificant!)

Your post doesn't add up.

agreed ,i would imagine 700 wouldnt be much use on a track, would be over the top on the road the only use i can see for it would be drag on a propperly prepaired track with radials and the whole setup. in which case you probably would care about if its fwhp or rwhp...

The only think i mean with the 700 is approximately, I just want to hear about your experiences. If i get 600 or 700 bhp is not important, the setup is important and that´s where I want your advise.

But for some of you, it´s for road use only.

I hope that i have made my point.

If setup is important and its being used on the road, I would opt for a much lower power figure and focus on drivability rather than a huge bhp figure, something like a gt30/35 turbo from garrett (make sure its genuine) or 61mm turbo, stock cams and piggyback ECU (emanage ultimate would be my choice) and a cast manifold. If you can stretch to a full standalone, then motec or AEM would be my choice
