You know when you have been driving sports cars too long when..

I rented a 6 seater this weekend. First time in 2 or 3 years really since I have driven something so high off the ground, which isn't a sports car either. How wierd it is the amount of things you realise and take for granted.

If anyone else like me has been driving sports cars for past 3 years and nothing else, will appreciate this thread and relate to it.

You notice the following:

You slow down tremendously for speedhumps almost always forgetting you can take them at a much faster speed.

You slow down again way too much when coming down a steep verge, scared of scratching the front nose/bumper.

You floor it down streets expecting the loud exhaust but realise you are driving a mini van :search:

You drive around town and are puzzled as to why no-one is checking out your car and wonder why :search:

You subconsciously look into shop windows expecting the silhouette of your sports car and realise its a minivan. :(

You pull up at lights and the driver next to you is not interested in checking out your car.

Driving on motorways, you find you no longer have to worry about bmws/civic type r's etc. etc. driving up your rear bumper.

You realise you can't be sloppy with gear changes and no longer are able to pull away in 4th gear.

You realise headlight visibility is much better in a normal car then your old sports car.

You realise you needn't plan routes to the 99 octane petrol stations anymore, realising any old crap will do.

You notice how fuel efficient normal cars are.

You get no compliments about the car when you pick up your mates in it.

You can park it absolutely anywhere without worrying about theives and idiots.

I am sure I noticed a lot more but these things I just picked up in 2 days of driving! Spooky!
