Chuffed to bits that others share my enthusiam for this sort of thing. Yes, it is a bit geeky, but sadly the space program has been hammered with issues over the years, and frankly isn't as exciting for people as it was in the 60's and 70's.

 

I love this stuff mate.

Watching the replays now (As I'm sure you lot are), I didn't know you'd see the rocket seperation from the ground (Although thinking about it, with Challenger, I guess you would) - This looked nice though (To me at least)

I've got an envelope a few feet behind me from NASA, when I called the number I saw in the HHGTTG, that I called, and said 'Er, Hi, I like space :)', they sent me loads of pictures and info, and in true US style, spelt Stuart Stoart :S

the numbers that thing puts out are awesome!

 

thats one hell of a big single! :lol:

 

Would you believe it is actually a set of twins :)

 

There are two pressure systems blowers (the SSME's equiv of turbo chargers), first one gets it up to low pressure and the 2nd one really pushes it. I forget the figures but low pressure is still silly high :)
