Todays burning issue: Socks, slipppers or barefoot?

What do YOU wear around the house?

I hate shoes and socks. I'm like the Zola Budd of erm... my house. The thing is my feet get cold.

The thought of socks in the house is to awful to contemplate but what about, dare I say it, slippers?

Anyone wear them?

Ideally I'd like a really warm pair that don't feel too much different from being barefoot. Do they exist?

It's either that or cultivate my toe hair to form a warming coat for my feet.

I like to wear slippers and black socks pulled all the way to the top of my calves.......;) Complemented by a pair of shorts. The wife finds it very attractive....

Oh god. The mental image I've just created. Hellllppppp!

Socks for me but only because my slippers broke, I'd like some new ones, ideally ones that don't make my feet look as though they should belong to an OAP... that seems to be the tricky bit.

It seems hard to find "trendy" slippers without them being "funny" in some way. I have some driving shoes that are close to working but they lack the comfort factor a slipper should bring to the party.

No socks in bed though, I need to be able to regulate my body temp by sticking a foot out now and again.

My favourite is frottage, a word you can use in everyday conversation :D

Courtesy of Google's definition service:

Frottage: A rubbing of an object or block placed under a thin piece of paper, using a wax crayon or graphite pencil.

I was told in an English lesson in school that "dimpsy" isn't a word. Not sure on the spelling, but it's most definitely a word! :)

Anywho....on topic....my current slippers are Guinness badged

I'm currently wearing a pair of chenile FatFace socks. Cosy, sexy, soft and multi-coloured.

Lifes too short to wear crap socks. I bought a pair of cashmere socks last week for those moments of private pleasure...they came in useful when I got a bollocking at work on monday...'bollock away' I thought...'you may be in a position of power, but I am wearing cashmere socks'. He saw my wry smile, perhaps he thought I was inwardly fighting the system, when in fact I was scrunching my toes with a delicious sense of sartorial superiority.
