jimmy_supra
I have got a 95 tt auto J-Spec freshly imported this year. I want to get the cam belt changed as it has done 60,000 miles. What cambelt should I get? It is bpu. I would also like to change the pulleys, again which are best? Also are there any other parts I need to purchase for this job i.e tensioner kit or anything else? Thanks
Scooter
Stock belt............ If mileage is genuine i'd expect everything else (ie all listed below) to be ok. Absolute top job (but as i say probably mostly uneccessary) would be.... Water pump Cambelt Tensioner Tensioner Wheel Cambelt Crank Pulley

It has now done 90,000km was converted to miles at 87,000km
jimmy_supra
I think I may get all but the water pump for now. Where is best to get these parts from and which ones are best oem? How much for them all? Thanks

Scooter
Any particular reason for wanting to change them? Indeed i have an NA on the best part of 100K miles and its on its original everything thats listed (bar cambelt obviously!) Given my NA is higher geared i think its tensioner wheel water pump etc has done approx twice the revolutions of your auto TT and i'm in no hurry to change these bits. jimmy_supra
Any particular reason for wanting to change them? No particular reason I just thort it was best to do it all together. I was thinking of lighter aftermarket pulleys. I was advised that when doing the cambelt it was advisable to change the tensioner aswell. Maybe its not true, i'm no expert on these cars or cambelts still learning

Usually, it is sound advise to change tensioners and pulleys when changing cambelts. However on the Supra these items are particularly well engineered and will last a long time. I did my 120,000mile cambelt change and the tensioner and pulley were perfect. Tensioner is about £90 from Toyota by the way, probably a lot more now.
