michael
Air in the cooling system? What he said, bleed the coolant to remove any air locks and see if it stops.
Stonkin
i had this in an old astra, sounded like a waterfall under the bonnet, worse when cold. Im sure its a different issue, as it also used to overheat to buggery. It was a banger/run around so didnt really care, but eventually the head gasket went and car got scrapped. This is obviously worse case scenario. I'll shut up now
anton
Id thought it would be a coolant problem. If it is, it needs sorting asap or youll blow your rad

tooquicktostop
rad cap seems to be leaking slightly , do you recommend i replace the rad and the cap? Replace with a stock rad cap, this may cure the problem, dont fit an uprated cap, it may cause other issues
SteveR
rad cap seems to be leaking slightly , do you recommend i replace the rad and the cap? Don't replace the rad if it's only the cap that's leaking!
