michael
Spotted one of these in town yesterday, I'm starting to think they look nicer than the 911. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/images/front_picture_library_UK/dir_444/car_photo_222026_5.jpg http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/images/front_picture_library_UK/dir_444/car_photo_222020_5.jpg They only made 777 of them, all black with black on black with more black, stripes and things are in matt black and look very subtle. Just under £50k when they came out last year but included in the price is a Porsche driving experience and a a briefcase with a black watch, a black knife with a black blade, a pair of black sunglasses, a black pen with black ink, and a black key ring. Black. http://www.porsche.com/microsite/cayman-pd/usa.aspx http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/images/front_picture_library_UK/dir_444/car_photo_222025_5.jpg BTW, it's black. bigbloodyturbo
agree with you, they do look better than the 911. Had a play with one an S while coming home on friday and they are certainly quite rapid.
gordy07
Thats tasty,in black of course!
Pete
I love these flimsy excuses that car manufacturers make for special editions. The "Design Edition", make it all black and give some black stuff away with it.
Dr_Doom
I'd prefer one in white!
ivan
They gave away a free knife? How irresponsible can you get? Quick, someone complain to the Mail.
plus1
I like that, but calling it "black", that's politically incorrect isn't it? Should it not be called the very dark edition. I mean you don't get black boards anymore do you?

supra_aero
*sigh, another porsche with a slightly modded paintjob, with some watch gets called "limited edition". Despite that I bet it'll sell like hot cakes if it hasn't already. Porsche = the epitome of boredom. I wish I was a porsche designer. It must be an easy life
Thorin
Spotted one of these in town yesterday, I'm starting to think they look nicer than the 911. I've thought that ever since I used to park next to a nice black one with black wheels most mornings. Black is the new black.
Ian C
Are there black buttons on a black dashboard labelled in black writing on a black background and every time you push one a black light lights up black to tell you that you've done it? Perhaps it should be called the "Sundiver" edition -Ian
Ian C
Actually I spotted an advert for the Cayman on the back of a magazine the other day, just sort of glanced at it and thought "blimey, that looks nice!". On closer examination it turned out to be the "almost afforded a 911" Porsche. Hmm, thought I, why did I think this was good looking when I know I normally don't? Answer? It had taller tyre sidewalls than the average sprayed-on look sports cars have nowadays Yes, slightly fat, or phat perhaps, looking tyres made it look really really good in my eyes. How extraordinary. -Ian
Multics
I don't it, proper hairdresser's car and name that goes with it (gayman).
michael
I don't it, proper hairdresser's car and name that goes with it (gayman). That's for the review, you should ring EVO magazine up and see if they have any jobs going.
Ian C
What makes it a hairdressers car? I mean the cues must be screaming at us, so enlighten us please
Multics
Thanks Michael, I'll tell them they've been recommended by you personally. I just don't like its lines that's it, I think it looks quite feminine that's it.

Multics
Porsche envy? Not at all, there's much nicer cars to envy than Caymans, no?
Thorin
Not at all, there's much nicer cars to envy than Caymans, no? Of course, but I still think it looks good.
kslb
I had a go in a mates cayman a while back and it really does handle well. He then had a go in my supe and said my acceleration was far better as specially mid range. I will stick with the supe but do like the look of the Cayman and would be a great car for a tight circuit like Knockhill.
RedM
Black edition cars then. Anyone seen an actual black Mercedes Black Edition? But anyhoo, I like the Cayman. Nothing says average more than the Cayman.
