jamesmark
Never got round to asking advice on this till now (actually kept on forgetting). This is an intermitting problem on my S14a, it can happen at low speeds, average speed, braking and also not happen at all. Basically the steering wheel wobbles and judders under the above conditions, again does not happen all the time. I have had my wheels re balanced and front wheels aligned again and still does it, wheels are not buckled at all. Tyres pressures are checked on regular intervals and they are as new Toyo T1-R's. I have also checked my tyre wear and after appx 1-1.5k miles there is no uneven wear. It is doing my head in now, but with only driving the car at the weekends it has taken time to get my butt into gear to ask.
adnanshah247
the tyres could be out of shape. look for any buldges or bubbles popping round the tyres. have you had a flat lately? Also does the wheel fit securely to the hub? if so does it require spiggot rings? check the bolts etc.
jamesmark
Tyres are in top condition as far as the eye can see, bolts are fine. Not checked spiggot rings
adnanshah247
if you dont have spiggot rings i can almost 200% guarantee you thats the reason why. the wheel isnt fully secure on the hub thats why when you brake or speed up you get that juder. Luka-P
What is the size of your wheels? Have you had a full geo-setup to determine camber etc?
jamesmark
Would love to take it over to Chris Wilson but I think you have to leave it with him and I am not that close to him.
DannoSupra
We had few cars in work doing the same thing due to discs warped... even not under braking this would cause it... get them checked with a DTI Gauge
