Cheap Booze Ban

I seem to remember them coming up with this bright idea not so long ago but it's back...

Pub happy hours should be banned and supermarkets stopped from selling alcohol at a loss in order to combat drink-fuelled disorder, MPs have said

Don't get me wrong here, I agree that the trouble caused by drunks is an issue but is the fix to try and price people out of being able to get drunk?

No get the drunks who require hospital treatment to pay accordingly (obviously afterwards when they've sobered up). For drunks who are dealt with by police, put them in the the police station's cells and they can't leave until a fine is paid (£50-100?)

:thanku:

Stupid idea. I like buying beer by the crate because bulk buying makes it cheaper. Doesn't mean I'm going to drink the whole thing in one sitting (Though I know people who will).

Punishing the bad behaviour properly is the answer - let the police knock a few teeth out with a baton perhaps.

I get teased for my 'extreme' views at work, but I'm a firm supporter of public floggings. If someone causes trouble on a friday night, they would be in the town square on a saturday receiving lashes. It would certainly stop the casual recreational violence, obviously the more hardcore offenders would probably get off on it.

[/commandant mode off] :p

:yeahthat: Drunks and druggies should not be treated on the NHS. They should be offered private health care at full price.

Turn the CCTV camera away and let them knock 7 shades of sh1te out of them. Then throw them down some stairs and say they slipped.

GOOD.

I drink less in a year than most people get through on an average Saturday night, so I really couldn't care less about this. But if you're one of those patronising, elfin saftey anti smoking nazi ban fox hunting nanny state w:taped:rs "other peoples smoke makes my clothes smell:cry:" do gooding lefty

t:taped:ts, then its your turn now:rlol:

Did you think they'd stop at smoking?

BAN IT. BAN IT NOW! BAN IT ALL!!!! :muahaha:

I give it a year, tops, before you're all outside, crouching behind a tree, drinking paint thinners for kicks.

They first came for the foxhunters, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a fox hunter.

Then they came for the smokers, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a smoker.

Then they came for the petrolheads, I didn't speak up because I didn't drive.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up.
