Big Ian
my Supra read's in Kph both speedo and ODO read out, is it worth converting to Mph? my speedo has both Kph & Mph on it but none of them read the proper speed, following folk at 30mph show's 36mph & 55Kph on my speedo. is there a way i can just have the speedo reading more true? thanks pic of my speedo display
JustGav
You will probably find the car has a limiter around 120 as well. If it doesn't bother you then don't fit a convertor/delimiter.
MrRalphMan
All cars are slightly over the correct speed on the speedo. Your car sounds about right, do you have after market wheels that are a different diameter?
Big Ian
thanks for the reply i'm running standard 16" with proper profile tyre's the top-end speed dose'nt bother me that said, i have had my car off the clock (on a private test track;) )
Need4Speed
You could use one of those THOR/TRL signal converters, they have an adjuster which allows you to set your speedo accurately. Try setting against a GPS such as a Road Angel on a straight M-way.
Big Ian
can anyone tell me, from looking at the picture i posted (above) is my speedo dial an after market item or a standard one? just that i was looking on ebay at this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-Face-Dial-Facia-Easy-to-Replace-Jap-Impor_W0QQitemZ170278896925QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item170278896925&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 and it look's the same as mine, just wondered if someone has fitted it to my car (kinda on the cheap?) and if it is an after market do you think i'd be better looking for either a UK speedo face or should i change the dial face in my car to one that only show's MPH
