xeno
Hi. I'm planning an oil change next week, and after reading this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=56684 I think the 5w-50 Valvoline VR1 looks to be my best option. I have a 93 J-spec TT 6 speed, 94000 miles, and usually do short journeys. Will this oil be ok? The link I posted at the start of the thread says there's 6.5L oil capacity, which would mean buying 2 5L cans. Then I read this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=253625&postcount=6 I think I'll just get 2 cans to be safe. Thanks for any info on the oil. Regards Terry. hadyn
I always use 10/40w semi synth mobil (commonly available in halfrauds) and its been absolutely great for 2 years. Changed every 4-5k miles. Mine only ever seems to need 5l on the nose to fill up.
