terribleturner
Slightly off topic i guess, but anyways. I have a 2 pod a pillar in the car and im having trouble getting it to stay attached. At the moment i have some sticky back platisc pads holding it on, but i think im in need of something better. Anybody got an helpfull hints and tips as to how to keep the pods in place?? J4CK50N
Depends how permanent you want it to be. You could try some heavier duty double sided tape. Like the stuff people stick number plates on with if they dont want bolts showing. Another way would be to screw it on. Using a couple of discreetly placed screws the same colour as the pod and it should look fine. Just my 2p! J4CK50N
how_supra
I have some loctite 422 instant adhesive at my disposal, of which I could potential acquire????? Wanna give that a shot?? Its a very high viscosity glue type stuff used to bond metals, rubbers and plastics??? The only trouble is, may be unbondable once applied??? Suprachargedtt
With my a pillar i used the sticky pads for the top bit that goes above the door, on the main part i put a small black screw under the first gaugepod you really cant see it and obveously it holds well
terribleturner
You could try some heavier duty double sided tape. I didnt really want to use screws, but if you recon it's not that visable Suprchargedtt then i may well have a go. And Sabrina, may do the glue only for the last resort. Suprachargedtt
i was doubtfull too but i had the same problem, mine kept falling off! If you look at the furthest point up, underneath the first pod then thats where mine is and as i sais you really cant see it, the bulge from the pod keeps it well hidden, if i had my car with me id take a pic so you could see, if it helps? J4CK50N
I have used screws on both of my pods in my last two cars. If done well they are unoticeable! Plus if you ever need to get to the gauges it is quick and easy to take off and put back. Cheers J4CK50N
terribleturner
Yeah, think the screw behind the first pod will do the job. Looked at it today and think it'll look good. Nice one guys, thanks.
