steady_dave
Finally picked up my Supra and had a bit of a drive, and it's better than I ever expected. I've been wanting one for about 5 years and it's an absolute dream come true. It's a Red N/A Manual Facelift model and I just love it to bits. At the moment i'm opening a performance tuning company specialising in Jap and European cars and this is going to be one of the show cars so future project coming when i've got the time and money, lol! I have been thinking a lot about going NA-T but has anyone got any other ideas about how to make an NA stand out of the crowd? Also love the look of JamieP's old red Supra and am thinking of going along similar lines exterior wise. Good or bad idea? Pics to follow as soon as i've taken some. hoff
Congratulations mate, look forward to the pics:) An NA-TT conversion or evan a V8 conversion really is the only way to get the power you want. NA-T is just as costly and less reliable I believe as the other options. Jamies old supra was stunning but the current trend is stock or subtle:)
JamieP
Yea stock is best, kits are done to death now and to have a stock body supra is a rare thing these days, if its a show car for your new buisness then a kit can look good if tastfully done. Good luck with it and keep us posted with pics.

Definately gonna keep the stock spoiler, was thinking, Do-Luck II fromt bumber, Trial rear bumber, Advan 5 alloys in silver and that's about it to be honest. The car condition at the moment is ok, however due to plastic fromt bumber I think a respray is in order after fitted parts but that's about all for the exterior. Engine wise I am gonna need help though. Not sure about the V8 idea however quite interested in NA-TT, havn't heard of that before. Any web references? Thanks again guys! Lots of info on dropping a TT engine in on here. Guys like Keron and Jezz on on here can supply and fit (if required) too. Kit choice is good IMO nothing too over the top. Check out the mutlimedia section for differant kit combos:)
DodgyRog
I've just got the Trial rear or Top Secret diffusser to go, but if you want it to stand out from the crowd the Do-Luck II is a very popular choice, so won't stand out. In my opinion one of the best thou;) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/album.php?albumid=
JamesC
If you want it to stand out, i wouldn't go for that combo! It's more popular than stock
Homer
In terms of bang for buck (and reliability, insurance, future upgrades, etc) you can't beat the NA-TT swap. Its about £2.5k fitted IIRC. I've got to agree with Jamie (and other more silent people on here ) that the stock body is the way forward. A nice set of wheels, decent suspension setup and a perfect paint finish is all thats needed to make it stand out these days.
gordy07
Im with jamie on the stock look, but as for the power im with you i am hoping to go TT in the new year so i would advise the transplant rather than trying to upgrade the NA
steady_dave
how much would a transplant cost roughly?
merckx
how much would a transplant cost roughly? Homer's post above. You'll get plenty of information if you do a search as quite a few on here have done it.
Konrad
how much would a transplant cost roughly? If you are about to open performance and tuning company, it will cost you around 1500 pounds.

steady_dave
Well was gonna post a lot about it but I noticed the Forum rules and duly respect then so not gonna started shouting all over the place. Once it's all up and running (almost set up as we speak) then I will contact the forum admin's and see what I can arrange if anything. Thanks you guys for all the help so far. Like I said this car is going to be a project funded by the Company so will take shape over time seeing as were just starting but I am really grateful for all your help so far. Think I need to pay my £10 so I can become fully registered on this place.
