topbananamike
Jump started my tt the wrong way and blew 120a alf fuse. Now I have replaced the fuse and put in a fully charged battery. As soon as I turn the ignition on the starter kicks in without turning the key to the start position the car does not actually start till I give it some gas but as soon as I come of the gas the engine stops and the starter kicks in again. Have I fried my leccys? Edited November 6, 2008 by topbananamike (see edit history)

stevie_b
Has anyone got some simple do's and don'ts when jump starting a supra, or using one to jump start another car? I've never done it with the supra, but it may happen one day and I don't want to toast the electrics.

Guest howie700
Quite simple for Supras or any other car.. Always positive to positive. Negative from the good car/battery to any good earth point on the dead car. Will turn like having a new battery on. Never go negative to negative on the batteries, it just tries to drain the good battery trying to equalise the charge between the two. Has anyone got some simple do's and don'ts when jump starting a supra, or using one to jump start another car? I've never done it with the supra, but it may happen one day and I don't want to toast the electrics.
