RedM
We tend to go as early as possible on a Sunday morning. Usually very well behaved people at that time. Best ever was when I went to see Ghost World at Brighton Marina. The five people in there were so quiet that the cinema people forgot to put any lights or heating on. The even forgot to start the film!
juanchan
I thank you. Infact I saw Bond on Tuesday afternoon. I enjoyed it too. There was aproximately 20 grown-ups in the cinema and not a word or an annoying russling of sweetie packets was heard Sweet. I've never been to the cinema on my own, so this could be a novel experience for me. I'd recommend Burn After Reading if you like the slightly disjointed not-really-going-anywhere stories that are created by the Coen Brothers. Much like The Big Lebowski, but with less bowling, marmots or rugs.

I also like taking my delightful lady too, naturally Off topic- have you eaten in a restaurant by yourself? Table for one? Now that was a little tougher
AndrewOW
Vue (Sheffield) have went back to allocated seating. That's slightly out of my locale, but thanks for the suggestion anyway I think Crawley still does allocated seating, but who wants to go there

Now that was a little tougher I don't like going to the cinema full stop, let alone on my own. Done the restaurant thing many a time though. Difficult not to when you're visiting strange parts doing your job.
Thorin
We went to see Eagle Eye in the Cinema and someone had a baby with them. It started crying right at the start and everyone just looked round amazed. Thankfully it soon stopped and that was it for the rest of the film. Charlotte
Cinemas in this area (or at least where I grew up) were always allocated seating - especially when there was a big film out, although I prefer to just choose where I want to sit. I agree and disagree with this (the seperate viewing thing) really.

Now that was a little tougher If you'd asked me a month ago I'd have said No to that one. I've since spent a while abroad with work on my lonesome. Seeing as the company was paying, I went and ate out every night It was cool to start with, but it did drag after a week or so.

Yes- I was in Corfu a few years back for a week's holiday and I had 7 lunches followed by 7 dinners, by myself. Having got past the initial embarassment, I found it didn't take too long to scan the menus and order the starters amd main courses. Would I go on holiday by myself again? Yes- I'll just do a few packed lunches to mix it all up a bit. Living dangerously I know Back to the thread then- Anyone bothering to see "W" some time soon? Perhaps in an 18+ environment? RedM
I love Ghost World. Apart from it being a good tale, both shot and told beautifully, Thora Birch looked really f**king hot!

Pot
Meh, another reason to have a huge TV, surround sound, and torrents OK - I'll admit, it still doesn't beat a cinema, but there's less witnesses if someone annoys you at home

Yes we were, once. However although I was a pain in the arse and ashamed at some of the stuff I put my parents through it is mild compared to todays youth (excluding the good un's). Did anyone in front of you decide to check for text messages half way through the film? Did anyone cough?
jamesmark
Did anyone in front of you decide to check for text messages half way through the film? Did anyone cough? Come to think of it there was no text message checking neither. Had the odd cough at the start of the movie, nothing intrusive. Was watching as people came in and I would say I was one of the youngest there. Will definitely be going to the over 18's showings again.
