I bought a new one to replace it (other makes were well out of my price range), and had Toyota GT fabricate a support for, as recommended by Chris Wilson. James at Toyota GT was kind enough to take photos of the work as they went along. You can see the fabricated support in a couple of these pictures, and I quote... "it will support the world!" I can't really tell what's going on in a lot of these photos, but I thought you guys might be interested. BTW, I've still got the old manifold available if anyone wants it. It would need a minor bit of welding, but this one is flush on all edges, so you'd save a fortune over buying a new XS Power manifold and then spending a couple of hundred extra getting it machined, like I had to. Looks like the exhaust gasket was blowing too Darn XS power gaskets! I can see now why they were complaining about that one nut, thats even tighter fit than on the last manifold, must have been a nightmare to get to. I can't see any pics of the support, that last one is the underside of the dump pipe (which seems to have been refabricated as James had suggested). Yes, they recommend relocating the screamer pipe as it was directed straight into the shell, so I asked them to go ahead and do that. I guess I'll probably need to take more photos of the support. Chris Wilson Posted November 5, 2008 Share Posted November 5, 2008 Third from last photo. All that red dust is from the outer C/V joint splines and the hub splines. The hub bearings slacken off, the splines start fretting, the metallic particles oxidise, and the only proper fix is a new or perfect driveshaft and a new hub flange, and a new hub bearing and seal assembly, properly torqued up. On a sliding scale of bad, I've no idea quite how bad. But it's all kind of irrelevent... I've spent the very last of my savings on this car this year. About 4 years worth of savings to be precise, and now I've got nothing left. So if there's anything else seriously wrong with it, then I'm just a bit stuffed.
