Changing battery cable, whats required?

Looking for some help guys. I've got a yellow top battery for my car but the terminals are at the front instead of the back and they are stretching a little. I want to replace all of them but wasn't really sure of what was involved with doing it.

Is it a big job? Where can i get the appropriate cable?

Cheers

I did this very job myself recently.

I extended the battery cables with some battery cable from here and some insulated butt connectors.

Top Tip: offer-up the new length of cable before cutting it; too long a cable is a PITA as it's so blummin stiff you can't easily deal with any excess.

Ahh so you did a cut and shut? I wasn't sure if that would be good enough or not. I was thinking i might have to replace the whole lot lol.

Oh well, that makes my life much easier.

What core size did you get?

Thanks Steve.

Edit, i'm guessing the 10mm with the 25mm square connectors?

Good info Steve.

Im considering putting a Varley red top behind the seats and extending the cable. There is the other method of taking a new line from the large bolt in the fuse box too.

Wasn't aware of that method. I just went in the engine bay and started chopping without really thinking if there was another way. :D
