Rear upper wishbone removal

Help

I need to remove the rear upper wishbones from my mk4 supra. the bushes are worn so it's a bit loose on the back end. once removed i'm going to make a judgment if to replace the bushes or buy complete arms. My problem is i had a looksey last night and where the wishbones are attached to the rear subframe it appears to be vurtually impossible to get access to undo the bolts that go through the bushes;

Has any one got any tips?

does the rear subframe need to be dropped to gain access?

does it need to be done on a ramp?

any tips would be gratefully recieved.

I've changed all the wishbones on my car but did this on a 4 post ramp which definetly makes life easier, they are very tight and doubt you'll budge them without a breaker bar and a piece of tube on that to get more leverage.

We didnt drop the subframe but being on the ramp def helped.

Are you sure its the upper arms that are knackered ? my lower arms were in much worse condition than the uppers on both the front and rear !

Replaced the lot with O/E from Toyota, my lower arms didnt have any play in them but were siezed on the eccentric adjusters !

Had to cut them off in the end to be able to adjust the front and rear cambers.

Easier to list what i didnt replace :)

Suspension wise everthing has been changed, every nut, bolt, washer, all the eccentric adjusters, all the wishbones upper and lower, track rods, tie bars, antiroll bar links, dampers and springs.

Followed by a full geo set up

I suppose the car feels and handles like a completely different one. Do you notice any difference in the steering, turn in especially?
