Im 18 (soon turnin 19)

Sky insurance are the club insurer but I dont think that they cover under 23's, Adriun Flux will be worth a shot. but its going to be expensive im afraid, id expect quotes around the £2K mark tbh, try elephant as well, they insured me while I was younger, but I was an existing customer with them when I got the car and was told they wouldn't normally have taken on the risk.

Im still look for cheaper insurance too. Most people think best to bell, elephant,Adriun Flux or sky insurance!

Im 22 gonna be 23 next year on july.

What do you think best way for me to cheapest insurance on my own name or with my parent name?

no doubt it will be cheaper to have ur parents as the main drivers on the policy and u the 2nd/3rd driver.

Yep, but if your insurance company find out thats what youve done, and its not true, your insurance is void I think.

yes that is true, it is what i done before (i hardly drove it, parents would take it to work and everywhere :sly:)

You could be the main driver and add a parent as a named driver thats what i did and it knocked of between £200-£300, I have never been on someone's policy i have always had my own, Im 23 and my insurance would have been £700 cheaper if i had a got a UK TT rather than my import N/A, However i didnt want to jump straight into a fast RWD so i went for an N/A.

Errr...have I missed something? You've bought a powerful RWD car as a young driver without taking insurance into consideration?! Serious WTF moment there.

Good luck with the hunt though, and take it easy to start when you get out and about!

My thoughts exactly Rich.

Like he says take it easy though and good luck with the search on insurance. As said try sky, Bell, Adrian Flux and A-Plan for starters:)

Sky and Adrian flux are both good (but as with all insurance its a very person specific quote.. good for some Shi... errr rubbish for others..)

long winded way, but may work.. buy a copy of jap performance or banzai, or even fastcar etc and get on the phone, they normally have all the major young drivers and mod'ed insurance cover companys ads in them.

I was lucky enough to have egg insurance cover me on the FTO when i swapped over from tesco 4 years ago when i was 24, all the other insurance wont touch me due to the car being an import or i am under 25, or they even quote me a stupid price of 8k, lucky tho egg offered me a better quote of £1200, now paying £650 fully comp on the TT Supra and 4 years no claims, and they are reliable unlike tesco, which stripped me of 4 years no claims previous due to some stupid pregnant lady that gave me false details, even moved from her address, but her husband names is Jason Drapper, used to work for Cars For You in Ponty, would love to find this guy and get him to pay for the damage he owed on my ford escort.

19 with 1 years NCB cost me £1157 on a N/A Auto - TPFT

Bought it when i was 18 and did a quote, that come to £1260~ so waited a few days till i was 19

Had a accident in that one and bought a new one, which i got requoted for £1300 on the same policy

Quote was done via Moneysupermarket which put me through to autotrader :)
