Guest ms_supra
Hi everyone, ive been trying to get to the bottom of this problem for a while now and have no joy! However i now have the car taxed and tested so can do full checks when driving. Its a Auto Jspec TT with a HKS EVC (currently disconnected) FMIC and decat 1 pipe exhaust straight through. The problem is im only making 0.5 bar boost, im not sure if the second turbo is even coming on, i can hear the first turbo. Now im pretty sure the pipe connections are wrong as a couple of the pipes are not even connected at all!!! Is there anyone in Coventry or close to me, who has a jspec supra and doesn't mind me popping down and having a quick look in your engine bay to make sure the setup i have is correct? Now this is the first supra i have owned and not had the full potential out of it, when i bought the car the turbo seals had gone so they were smoking, so i changed both turbos and put the pipe work back where it was, the previous owner told me that it was not making any boost at all. Thanks for reading i hope i can sort this problem and see how a supra really performs:)
Dann
Hi There Take a few pics of your engine bay close ups of the trouble areas were pipes not connected and that way it will give the techs somthing to look at and advise on what might be the problem. Cheers, My mate had the same problem we changed the hole vacuum pipe set up all the vsv's and checked the the turbos , after all this were stumped for ages the then had a though about the bov and sure enough it was . It's easy enough to check mate just take it off and see if you can blow straight tho it from both way's If you can its Knackered . not sure on price , we got lucky on here and got one for £10 .
