Supra-Brett
Are these screw in or push in - e.g. - clamp or mole grips to get the pistons back in to replace pads ... thanx guys You should just be able to push them back in, although either way should work if they are lubricated a bit. But i recall when i was refurbing mine and i had to get the pistons out (the opposite of what you are doing) i had to twist them to get them out as pulling then straight out or even pushing them from behind via the hole at the back of the caliper didnt work - mine were seized though. TLicense
I would use a brake winding tool http://www.justoffbase.co.uk/Tool-Shop/Brake-Caliper-Pad-Tools These are also handy for seized calipers as once you've got it moving inwards, you can usually pump the brake pedal to get them to pop out completely. bens747
Used a little WD40 and some Mole Grips and managed to get it sorted ... Thanx Guys
TLicense
For the future, be real careful using mole grips or pipe clips or whatever. If you burr the piston it could tear the seal which can then lead to gunk getting in and the piston seizing.
bens747
Am going to replace the rear calipers anyway and this was a fix to get me home. Thanks for the advice though
