RedM
A disappointing episode tonight. Not as disappointing as Stephen Fry meeting Jonathon Ives though. Apple fan meets Apple design guru reduced to about thirty seconds.
benkei
Dunno why they didn't just bolt a turbo onto that renault I was thinking the same thing! However I doubt there is a bolt-on kit for that car, and tunning it would be a bitch! Quite a good episode tongiht, but not as good as expected. Impressed with the Fin's driving abilities though!! Maybe we need something like that over here!!
Wez
I enjoyed that
RobSheffield
If for example a gentleman missed top gear...when does it go onto Iplayer?
Gazboy
Because they wouldn't have been able to drag it out and make it look difficult. It's a drama show remember The geo was well off on that suspension when they fitted it, the car was skipping all over the place. The brakes were overkill on that course, the money should have gone on a cheaper setup. When they first showed it and it was the V6 I presumed they would just stick nitrous or a turbo on it, making it lighter was obvious but could have gone further, the R888s were a good move though. The brakes didn't really have a chance though, when my Endless pads were first put on the first mile wasn't that great, 300 miles later and some hard use and they were brilliant. Also after several fast laps the standard brakes would have been knackered where's the AP's would have lasted far far longer.
michael
They only really needed to do one lap though, it's not as if they were coming down from 200 to 30 either, sure the brakes will have helped but not £3000 of help.
Wez
Better disks and pads would have been far better, they could have saved on the wheels and just stuck some r888 on the stock wheels
Pot
"Baseball cap wearing people from Cheltenham" - I take that as a mention on TG
RiceRocket
A disappointing episode tonight. I thought so too. Amusing but not hilarious as of late. Spoiler- James May's test vehicle for the power test next week (pssst, it's michael's favourite)

Gaz Walker
A disappointing episode tonight. Not as disappointing as Stephen Fry meeting Jonathon Ives though. Apple fan meets Apple design guru reduced to about thirty seconds. Fully agree. TG was OK but they could have done so much more. I can't believe they couldn't have got more out of Renault for that budget. Fry meeting Ives though was sorely disappointing though, being that he rarely gives interviews and that he tops a list of the most important ex-pats in the USA. Gaz. Missile
I really enjoyed it, Shame a challage like that eats up so much of the show, Would like to see them doing somthing like that more offen.
AndrewOW
I like the idea of a V8 stair lift though
Anees
I really liked the episode. The reason they didn't stick on a turbo I assumed would be because of time - remember (in TV world anyway) they had 2 days only to perform all the the mods. A few points were however - I agree brakes were a waste of time - pad and discs would have been better and I bet they increased unspring weight alot, especially when combined with the alloys (£600 alloys are not going to be light weight are they?). Geometry was miles off on the new suspension Suprised they didn't install an induction kit and exhaust (although they did do the exhaust after they had officially finished the project) If the turbo was too time consuming then NOS should definetly have been used (its not like they were on an aircraft gunship like with the 1st Stig!) And being realistic, I don't think they were ever going to beat the Evo 10 time, but its entertaining all the same!

RiceRocket
The long wait is nearly over, the Stig does a power lap in the Bugatti Veyron for this Sunday's episode. Will its torque be superior to the Gumpert's handling....?

The Zonda F has already set a time unless the roadster version is quite revised.... Does he indeed? Yep
