JamesC
The battery on my dads 2002 Camry V6 died the other week, and was left for a few days until another battery was sourced. We have now changed the battery but now stalls when idling - the revs are just too low. It will keep runing if you have the AC on as this raises the revs slightly. I read somewhere that the ECU has to 'learn' to idle again but we tried letting it idle from cold, but started stalling when it got warmer. Any ideas what this could be? Cheers! Swampy442
Idle control valve? Try taking the EFI fuse out for a min, then put it back in and try again. Will it drive or still stalls?
JamesC
Ok will give that a go. Would i be better taking the battery off for a couple of mins to reset everything? It's drivable with the AC on to keep the revs up a bit.
Swampy442
Leave the battery on mate but just pull the efi fuse then try that. The a/c uses an 'idle up' valve to cover the load of the pump, is it auto or manual?
JamesC
Ok cheers, will do. Will this be one of them big fuses in the engine bay? It's an auto.
