Hi ya cj long time no speak buddy, i have literally just finished upgrading from the dreaded vista to 7 and i can say im very impressed, but i would say if your happy with xp stay with it for now as apparently its not as smooth transition from xp to7 as it is from vista. Well worth the 69quid upgrade from vista though allthough i feel it still a rip off that you have to pay to get away from microsofts cockup with vista.

cheers chris

P.s merry xmas and a supra new year :D

Hello my friend

Thanks for the input. I guess it is as a lot of people say eh? Why fix it if it isn't broken.

Merry Christmas to you too. :)

I'd still go with Windows 7 Colin.

I look at Vista as the Windows ME equvilent that came out after Windows 98.. it was the joke upgrade before the proper version 'XP' came along.

Like Chris says, it is crappy paying for an upgrade from Vista as it feels similar in some ways and Vista wasnt even around for that long.

You're going to get more support and upgrades for Windows 7 from now on with most applications going down that root, performance will also be better if you can benefit from having the 64-bit installs.
