Hi guys !!

Im totally new to the world of supra's and have just brought a 93 twin turbo auto. this car was left standing for around 6 months so i grabbed a bargain at £1000. I have took it out for an easy ride to sort of break it in again if you like. there seems to be a missfire when the auto box goes into second gear and now i have the red warning light come on right in the middle of the dashboard. Im a bit worried as i guess problems with these cars aint cheap to fix !! any ideas ? thanks in advance ben:)

A supra TT for £1k???? Jesus. As for the misfire try changing the sparks, do you know if it modded at all? As in double decat and it is hitting fuel cut as they have not fitted an fcd.

:welcome: too, use the search button too mate as there is loads of threads that may help.

Thanks for the welcome. so i did get a mega deal on this car then !!! the only thing i can see that is aftermarket is the exhaust. everything else is completly standard. i will search the

threads to see if i can find something that might help. its got me stumped as im not very mechanically minded :)

First things first.r too and especially if it has been lying around for a while is get every single fluid changed i.e. engine oil, gearbox oil, coolant, brake fluid, sparks changed, new oil filter new air filter etc etc. A very good top to toe service with nothing left out.

Chris Wilson is just around the corner from you I suspect - give him a bell (see traders section)

Good advice, if you're in shropshire it's well worth a trip to Chris to get it looked over. Misfires, especially on a car left stood for a while are quite common and in most cases easily solved without any real expense (spark plugs & coil pack connectors being the most common cause).

As mentioned already, the error code will help diagnose the problem.

Bargain purchase though  The engine alone is worth that!
