M3 or M5?

Hi all,

I'm interested in everyones opinions on the M3 (E46) and the M5 (E39?), if I'm correct, I think both these can be had for around circa 10 grand these days in the current market.

How does an M3/5 compare to a TT Supra? Also how do the two compare to the Supra experience?

Cheers

By the way...what type of BMW compares to a Supra TT for performance? and as for a BPU

M5 is about 400bhp. Not as quick as bpu but not along way off. My brother has a 2001/2 ish M5 and its a great car.

I also had a 525 and they dont handle to badly.

are e46 m3's really going for that sort of money?
No. Certainly not good ones anyway. If you're buying an M3 you want an April 03 or newer made one. The earlier ones had some nasty rod bearing issues.

(I think it's April 03, might be May, I forget right now)

neither will keep up with a BPU Supra but they are both fairly decent cars.
A stock Supra TT won't keep up with a BPU Supra either.

M5 all the way!!

TT Supra's can smoke E46 M3's! ;)

Stock ones? I disagree. (I currently own both)
