Harllequin
I've found a use for my old fuel pump but I need to know what amps are needed to run the pump from a transformer. Can anyone please help. I know I can run it from a car battery however I'd rather run it from the transformer for ease. Thanks in advance folks
Dave222
Don't know about a standard pump but the uprated Walbro pumps run at approx 6 amp.
Harllequin
Thats brilliant thanks. I did find this info from: -http://www.gadgetonline.com/FuelPump.htm I ordered a Supra fuel pump through Conicelli Toyota. When it arrived I sent it out to RC Engineering to have it flow tested. That is one hell of a fuel pump. At 45 PSI it flowed 285 liters per hour (LPH) and would support 753 HP, but would draw 19.6 amps while doing it. It did seem to be at least enough for the supercharged 3.4 so I pulled the tank and installed it. Looks like I have all the info I need now.
