Hi I've just joined up and need a little help. a few nights ago someone attempted to steal my supra and in doing so they smashed the passenger quarterlight window and punched the passengerdoor cylinder! no other damage thankfully!! Ihave managed to track down a quarterlight window replacement but the breaker says it has a tint film on it whch can be removed? does any one know if all supra mk4s windows are tinted as standard and if so is it the same tint colour. I'm wondering if I get this window and remove this tint film if the glass will be clear or tinted when it's removed. all the windows in my car have a slight tint and all are the same although I did notice a black supra and the quarterlight windows are darker than the rest of the windows? perphaps there is a tint film in these? my car is silver and an an import if this has any bearing. any help is appreciated.

Of little help I know, but I do remember Nic saying something in a different thread about some came with blue tints and some with green?

You're quite right to look at this in more depth - I'm sure someone with more info will be along soon...

Is that not the windscreen ??

Thanks guys for the information, yes I thought all glass was tinted as standard too however I've emailed the breaker and he has removed the tint film as it was an aftermarket one but he thinks the glass is clear? is this possible, its from a 1994 non turbo. Also are these windows bonded in , has anyone fitted one or do you recommend getting 'auto glass' or such like to fit it?
