JamesF
Alright guys. Thinking of going with one of these. But Im thinking of getting one of the NRG ones from the US mainly because they do either short bosses or short quick release hubs. So I wouldnt have the wheel too far forwards. I could probably get the short quick release hub and use a standard Supra boss - although thats probably asking for trouble. Any tips? Wez
I use a regular Supra wheel boss and a D2 quick release, does bring the wheel out a bit which is why I went for a flat wheel.
Nic
The Works Bell quick release kits are the best quality ones I know of on the market, they're a bit pricey though. They also do a special narrow boss kit to go with the quick release. http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/2036/picture1ah5.png
Wez
That looks exactly the same as my unit except mine has more holes to mount to the boss.
Wez
How much for the narrow boss nic?
JamesF
Nic - Is the price on the poster their going rate? If so they are quite expensive!
Mike
Wouldn't that be quite scary if it came off on the motorway

AlexJames
Yes. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=30&t=751472 (Was going to post this as a new thread but thought I might as well bump this) is this likely to be a problem with these kits? or do you have to be a proper numpty to pull the steering wheel off while driving? Jellybean
I have the works Bell Kit It is in the back of my mind if the Wheel came off while driving, but you have to physically press the larger ring behind the wheel towards you, it is a good 3-4 cm movement required. You would have to be a numpty to do it but if it did some how happen, good luck getting it back on because it has to be correctly aligned. Hard enough if it is not dead straight and stationary let alone moving
