rear brake noise

coming home last nite had a nasty grinding noise from the rear,suspected brakes sticking cause disc was red hot ,so stripped it all down this morning only to find one pad is like new the other [inner] is compleatly worn ,any idea why they havent worn evenly ????

caliper sticking ? anyways new set of pads on there way .

Do the smaller brakes have sliders? If so check they are free also check where the pads are located and ensure the worn one is not stuck in

 

 

when i put the new pads in will give everything a good clean, thanks didnt think of the pad sticking in the slider

yes there the standard j-spec rears the caliper is sticking but i put that down to the piston coming to far out, it goes back in easy with a bit of pressure.will try new pads if that dont work looks like a new caliper:(

 

doesn't sound like the piston sticking then if it goes back in under a bit of pressure.
