RedM
Nice bit of kit that. Fallout 3. Hours lost to it yesterday. Same again today. Really into it. Just finished the GNR quest and I'm now going to do some sub quests. I've noted some references to the band Fear Factory and could it be that someone is a Blade Runner fan? BTW, does anyone suffer the same bug as me. Namely, going from an interior location to an exterior location WITH a weapon drawn cause the exterior location framerate to plummet? I make sure I quicksave just before an exit so that I can F9 and holster the weapon before venturing outside.

Homer
I haven't had any serious graphic bugs with Fallout 3 since switching from a 7600GT to a 9800GTX+, even with everything at 'ultra'. Must say it's transformed the game for me, it's far more playable with a decent card.. as if it wasn't addicitve enough already! Even Far cry 2 and Crysis run perfect at full res and settings. GTA4 still slogs even at low resolution. A very lazy port to PC...
Ian C
Eighty-three hours of gametime later, I have finished Fallout 3. What a game I think I hit about 80 to 85% of the locations on the map and did most of the quests available. I'd like to look at one of those otherwise-pointless "strategy guides" now to see just how much of it I did -Ian
Guest themuttsnuts71
Might get this for my daughter she is into these sort of games.
Mike
Ian - after what you said about Dunwich, I had to find it! I just cheated a little and got a steer from Planet Fallout.. it sounds ace! I'm outside Tenpenny Tower now, so I think I'll wander on over there tonight when I get in from the gym and check it out
TopgunTT
My sons made me turn this off last night and put on pgr4, I think they were scared watching me play in the dark, Said that Dogmeat died
Marty
Superb game. I'm up to about 80% explored and the main quest is 95% done, have left it on the part where you have to go into the purifier section, i haven't finished the main quest as it ends the game and i want to explore everywhere 1st and do all the quests Have dogmeat following me, as well as foukes, he's great for carrying extra gear

Ian C
Who is Foukes? Heck I never found dogmeat. Foukes is the guy in underworld isn't he? I never went back to see if I could get him. My hint - use the fatman whenever you want, it's fun and you'll do no good hoarding them
Marty
Who is Foukes? Sorry, i mean't fawkes He's the supermutant you come across in one of the vaults when you are on the quest to get the geck. Dogmeat is in the scrap yard. The fatman is an ace weapon, along with the vengeance and the plasma rifle. Fawke's carries a vengence around with him so he does the killing before you get a chance to sometimes:D edit.... thats what he looks like.... Branners
How disappointing is FarCry2. I had expected it to be like FarCry where you had a reasonable goal which was to escape the island. FarCry2 seems to bear no relation to FarCry1 and to me it seems like its Grand Theft Auto in the jungle. Far too much driving of that jeep and trying to follow a map. Played it for about 5 hours then removed it. It ran amazingly well on my machine though, very high resolution all the way. Time to try Fallout3. Scooter
I've justed moved on to this from one of the Medal of honour series (PS3) and am frustrated by the Malaria/sickness thing. Can anyone let me know if this is an ongoing thing or that later on you've always got loads of supply? I wanted to roam about (still do!) but get thwarted by this............any light at the end of the tunnel

At 1st I thought 'this seams quite good, I could get into this' but it turned out to be one pile of repetitive nonsense. I found myself only playing it in order to collect the trophies. Far Cry 2 turned out to be repitive rubish, nothing like the superb Fary Cry 1. Fallout3 you will be hooked on, it's perhaps the best game I've ever played. colsoop
Have to agree. Far cry 2 is a poor game they tried to do too much with it instead of sticking with the formula from the previous game. Driving round takes up too much time and then you get random jeeps chasing after and easily catching you then they sit there while you shoot them repeat ad nauseum. This is the first game i have bought that i haven't finished or replayed after the initial few hours !
Branners
Fallout3 going on the machine as I type (and it takes a while to install so I have a lot of typing time). I hope its better than FarCry2..

I hope its better than FarCry2.. It's in a different league It's a bit slow to start, but gets you into the mood of things, just hack it out for the first 4-5 hours and you'll start to get the feel of things. Think my completed game came in at 140hours
Marty
Fallout is an excellent game I'm still exploring a bit but i've pretty much been 100% of the map now Playing crysis warhammer at the moment too, that's not too bad, pretty graphics
