High flow cats?

is there anyone on here using a High flow cat setup?

with the advances in technology being made im sure a high flow setup could provide the same benefits of a total de-cat whilst still passing emmisions regulations.

the reason i am asking is i noticed MVP have a high flow cat setup on their website at what looks like a very good price and i wondered if anyone had any experience of them.

Can't help with the question mate, but I'd be interested in knowing this too

Back in my mondeo days there were a few guys who managed to 'gut' their cats so they looked standard from the outside but contained nothing restrictive.... would be a definate advantage from and insurance perspective. ;)

Wouldn't help with emmisions though.

I think you would be better off putting it in the second cat position, as the first one is only necessary when the car first starts. As I understand it the car will pass emissions with the second cat as long as it is warm.

Why bother, over a year you will spend more time putting fuel in than you will changing the 2nd cat pipe back to an OE cat, and back again... :)

i'me with Chris here, have you been stoped on the road ? has anyone on here been done for no cats caught on the road ?, i do EVERTHING on my car but even i cant be bothered putting the 2nd cat in come MOT time, my local garage charge a tenner to put the cat in pre MOT and then take it out post MOT, job done and maximum performance for the rest of the year
