fizzle
i've seen as set of rims i like but they arent staggered fitment, although tyres are wider on rears 225 and 245 i think, is this ok for supra, or does it have to be staggered? miko_supra
stock size is 255 tyres on the rear and 225 on the front if that's any help. Some supras had wheels that were the same width front and back with 225's all round on 16" alloys
CarlT67
I would suggest that staggered fitment is a must if you want your car to handle, the wider wheels to support wider tyres.
Wez
stock size is 255 tyres on the rear and 225 on the front Really. I thougt it was 255/40/17 and 235/45/
Guest SUP_R_G
i bought my supra last week and its runing 265's on the back. that too much?
Swampy442
Seeing as the standard size is 255 then yes. But people always like to have fatter rear tyres, looks good
Supra-Brett
Seeing as the standard size is 255 then yes. But people always like to have fatter rear tyres, looks good Most aftermarket alloys for the supe come with 265 rear, 235front. Its not a million miles off so cant make that much difference surely ? I would of thought it was better, but suppose its not that simple
Scooter
Recognised standard/acceptable setups stock 16's 8" 225's front - 9" 245's rear stock 17's 8" 235's front - 9.5" 255's rear Lexus GS300 SPort wheels 8.5" 245 fronts 10" 275 rears so any where between these shouldn't be too bad. Say you had the above 16" setup i'm really not sure that going to a non staggered 18's that were 8.5" wide and fitted with 225's (or 235's) front and 245's (or 255's) rear would cause too much problem. I think you need to be aware that straying further from standard tyre/wheel/offset sizings will effect the handling, undoubtable some of these changes will effect things more than others, but i'm not qualified to advise here, all i'd say is the more you stray from 50mm offset, a staggered setup with ideal sized tyres for them the more chance you have of screwing things up.... Guigsy
my NA came with stock 16s with the same widths all arround. as far as i know this had never been changed since it was imported. :S Do what i did and PM gaz at envy with the style of wheel you have seen and see what he has that will fit the supe My wheels from envy were great fitment Edited October 25, 2008 by Guigsy (see edit history)

merckx
The offset should be okay but the design of the wheel has to allow for clearance over the brakes depending on what you have of course. A wheel supplier should confirm fitment for your car.
