Jake
So I got this email from paypal saying ... ivan
Didn't you recently have a problem with them taking too much money and remove your bank details and credit card from your account? Or was that someone else?
Jake
Not that I recall, Ken.
ilicos
Have you completed the security procedures? There is a stage where you supply your home phone number and they call you back immediately to verify that someone is there. Also, have you sold any items on ebay that were on their monitored list? i.e. Gucci hand bag etc? They sometimes freeze accounts if you sell things that have not been verified as original. Good luck with speaking to Paypal as they are just a little USELESS.

Jake
Have you completed the security procedures? Not recently, but I'm a Verified member etc and have been for several years. Also, have you sold any items on ebay that were on their monitored list? i.e. Gucci hand bag etc? Ah, my Gucci handbag, of course! Silly me. They sometimes freeze accounts if you sell things that have not been verified as original. I haven't sold anything for ages but I have bought a couple of dodgy items lately - would that do it? Kiunno
Are you sure it's not just a phishing e-mail, I remember getting something similar and I just ignored it.
Jake
Are you sure it's not just a phishing e-mail, I remember getting something similar and I just ignored it. I nah, I wouldn't fall for something like that mate. I didn't click any link in the email and went to paypal.com under my own steam. Looks like PayPal just being even bigger wankers than usual. They can fook off after this, just as soon as I've got my money out. I wish somebody like Google or Visa would take PayPal on at their own game - they're ripe for it. SupraHuman
I had the same problem a few weeks back.Numerous e-mails and 2 phone calls to my bank sorted it in the end.Paypal=USELESS!!
marbleapple
2 options... 1. The code looks like a Paypal dispute. If you log in and go to the the top under 'resolution centre', view open cases. Have you been a naughty boy and not responded to a complaint from a customer? 2. If that doesn't help give them a ring on 0870 7307191 and ask them

benkei
PayPal are utterly useless, and they themselves usually have no idea what's going on when you do ring them! I closed my account shortly after battling with them to get it un-restricted due to not having a phone number registered with them. It was fine for years, and then I think they noticed, and instead of putting a notice on, or sending an email asking for a phone number like any normal person would do, they just blocked my account until I figured out WHY after much greivance and aggrivation (I was due to pay for something I'd recent won on Ebay) then after a lot of messing around and fumbling on their side, opened my account again. Shortly after I'd payed for items and transfered the balance to my account I shut down my paypal account! Many people seem to be doing the same! ilicos
Try updating your info with them. And yes, buying dodgy items can make them investigate. A mate of mine bought Nike(fake) trainers on eBay and got his account suspended for investigation.
Kev.O
I had something similar to this recently. It turned out to be due to the fact that I changed my switch card.
Pixelfill
I had this a while back too - apparently someone had somehow paid for something with my paypal account (don't ask me how) paypal recalled the payment on my behalf (nice of them and limited my account. So somehow someone managed to withdraw £100 illegally from my linked bank acccount, paypal kindly recalled it, and limited my paypal account to prevent me actually getting it back to my bank account! Pissed me off royally that, eventually managed to get everything sorted, but I'd recommend you check you transaction history for anything you don't recognise.
