flukey-lukey
I personally wouldn't do that
JustGav
Hmmmm, vacuum system, is he aware of how a turbo system works? Yes, I am aware that the car does have some vacuum when off boost. Might be amusing when he revs it with a pipe in the top of the bottle
Terminator
I have heard of engine oil system cleaning using cleaning fluid and a vacuum pump to reverse flush through the oil system. Not a good idea on a performance engine IMHO. Sounds like time to fiind a new mechanic.

Guest pitstopralph
Hello Sucking Forte fuel cleaner through a vac pipe is a fairly well known "cure" for sticky valves on old rovers, Zetecs, the three cylinder vauxhall and the like. If carried out properly it can save a fortune in labour for removing heads and valves, [just] to remove the varnish that builds up on the valve stems. It is not particularly nice [and potentially very dangerous for the engine] It is not an option I would reccomend on anyones pride and joy! Chris Wilson
I agree with pitstop. A crutch for sticky valves, like adding ATF to the engine oil in old Fords to free noisy, stuck, hydraulic tappets. If you pick a BIG bore vac hose and have a lot of redex you could even hydraulic the thing.
