I just want to have a look in the gearbox as it hopped out of 1st a couple of times when manoeuvring around. I may have inadvertently put strain on the selector mechanism when the box was in and out like a Yo-Yo when I was sorting its fitting out. Sequential boxes have quite delicate "bits" in the selector barrel area, and I may have *uggered something.... :( Other than needing a set of decent pads in it and a steam off it's pretty much ready to go. Once proven I will swap the bits into the new shell. I was going to say this year, but that's possibly wishful thinking knowing me ;)

Would have been less smooth (you can tell it has got some cams in it now, but it's still a "civilised" idle), and would probably need 1050 or so RPM to be stable with yet more duration. People seem very conservative with duration on turbo engines, given proper turbo sizing you can easily run 280 degrees on a 2.5 litre plus engine and still have reasonable spool and off boost running.

Been making a basic infill panel for where the radio sat, to take 3 gauges. Having a next door neighbour who is an ex McLaren composites man is handy at these times as instead of asking if he can let me have a pound of sugar, or some milk, I can ask him for carbon sheet, which, in my opinion, is far more useful :) He gets some interesting jobs in and a visit often throws up some mangled exotica in various stages of repair. He vacced a lovely brake duct panel for the Zeus last month that weighs about 2 ounces :) The gear lever link rod will go through this new panel and it should tidy the gaping hole up for now.
