Enquiry from abroad

Don't know if any others selling their cars on here have had an enquiry from Geneva in Switzerland at all - anyone know of any scams going on out there?! He's not asking for any dubious info, just pics and tel numbers etc (no bank details).

I know a few bods on here have sold their cars to buyers abroad quite successfully so thought I'd ask the question.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, reads very much like a scripted response if I'm honest...

The english isn't perfect enough for a John Goldberg type (Mind you, some of our members.....)..and why would he need both numbers?

SCAM!!!

In fact, re-reading it, I don't think you are being scammed as such YET...strikes me as an information gathering attempt, expect to see your car on ebay or pistonheads :)

100% a scam, with those details anybody can sell a cloned car claiming to be you! if they need that much info then get your backside on a plane and see it in person. by giving your name and address etc. will that confirm the condition of the car? its a clear example of how identity theft can be achieved!

PLEASE people be aware of these scum bags! i have to deal with this day to day in my job and honestly there getting smarter and smarter yet our lovely public in this country seem to get more and more stupid! (not implying obvioulsy that you are but some cases we get make you laugh)

I've got a team out there, and I'm off there next week (To Winterthur near Zurich, not near Geneva sadly), so I'm happy to get their opinions if you want anything checking out.
Maybe your team could pay a visit to Mr John Goldberg at Avenue Louis Casai 57-59, Geneva, 1216 and show him the error of his ways. :eyebrows: :eyebrows:

like i said, there smart into sucking you in..... really get you confused whether its a scam or not. if he is legit, tell him to send his buddy to meet you, pay you in cash and then shove the car up his a$$ for all u care, aslong as though u get your moneys and your not sending anybody your personal details.
