Finally a dispute with a funny end.

The reason the dispute threads are locked to the relevant parties is to prevent other people rattling on and not adding any input. This may be the case.

But the way I'm getting around it is that I am not putting any input into it, I am mutual on the matter and felt urged to inform members of a single humorous post;)

Personally I think fraudsters have no place on this forum and feel the mods should have him banned.

P.s.

Jezz im still waiting to hear about my bits/refund! :)

I agree, but I blame the digital age, money is no longer safe in your account unless its been withdrawn and sitting in your hand, even then they can still chase it with a dispute, companies make it too easy for fraudsters

It could also be argued that it is too easy for retailers to keep customers money too. I have 2 sellers owing me money at the moment. One is just ignoring me (not involved in this forum btw) and it looks like i'm going to have to kick up a merry fuss: Just because you can't see them, they think they can lie/cheat/ignore you.

I'm quite glad that the banks etc stand up for the little guy.

As for the dispute thread, I repeat my earlier statement.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot that I'm owed an awful lot of cash - you just reminded me:);)

They need our businesses to take their cards, charge us plenty for the privilege and the moment a card user has a moan the poor merchant bares the brunt!

Chargebacks make me so

Jezz, just write back with the details, timeline of stuff, and copies of everything, including a copy of the dispute transcript, to prove he knew full well about the problem and was trying to rip you off. Mention the word fraud a couple of times. Card companies really don't like having the piss taken ;)

MMM from the outside looking in on this dispute I'd almost say it was mr Wu's garage having a bit of a giraffe here. I mean whats a second hand rad worth these days? Enough to make a real big fuss of? Enough to go mental on here and raise a dispute? Enough to call back a credit card payment? Only on principal and only if you firmly believe you are 100% in the right. Only way that would happen is if you did indeed believe what you are saying. The fact that there is a middle man ie the garage and the fact that so called highly reccomended (turbo-fit for instance) trade with disregard for other peoples money would have me wondering about this case. Although some cretin individuals (MK47 for instance) ripped people off for less.

In my experience they don't give a to$$.

I once handed the c/card company and Police a perfect opportunity to grab some card fraudsters with evidence. Nobody cared.

The card company doesn't lose out, the merchants do. The Police are more worried about filling in paperwork.

More likely the card company didn't care. If they don't want to substantiate as in about 99% of cases then the Police don't have a victim. No victim, no case. Most CC companies write off low level fraud without reporting it, so infact the true level on cc scamming is unknown as most of it is not reported.
