grahamc
The missus is currently looking for work as a IT BA or project manager. She applied for a job gets a response saying the usual blah blah blah, perfect for the role, just need to register here (with a link). Then at the end of the process it expects you to pay this!! WTF!!!! Since when did recruitment consultants start charging both sides??? I know they charge a horrendous amount from companies to find staff and they are trying to charge people on the other side??? AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!! F****************KKK!! and......rant over..... the world has returned to normal speed, and is no longer different shades of red.
JustGav
Pay for a job? I don't bloody think so.... Not being funny, but is it a disney controlled recruitement company? They usually get their fee from successful placed candidate's companies. Sounds very much like the bunch of cowboys who offer to train people up and give them a job placing which then expect blood in exchange (well a locked in contract at least)
Snooze
The missus is currently looking for work as a IT BA or project manager. Bit of a longshot, but does she have any product management experience or interest? How about travel domain knowledge?

I was absolutely shocked and damn near told her to tell them to F*** OFF!!! Thats how I understood it works... fees made from successful placements, simple. Bit of a longshot, but does she have any product management experience or interest? How about travel domain knowledge? PM on its way. She has done mostly media (SKY) and data driven type roles. SILKYSMOOTH
Bloody ridiculous...shame on them! I worked in recruitment for of 7 years (mainly IT, Finance, Banking but many other sectors too) and TBH there are so so many 'cowboys / cowgirls' out there it's unreal and shocking, thats why I started my own recruitment business a while back. I made my money and closed the business down...I am seriously considering starting up again because of everything that I hear thats going on out there and what I can see with my own eyes. I really can't stand these so-called agencies anymore! maybe I should show them how it's done....when are they going to realise how to operate a successful business? ivan
I doubt Reed are aware of the other recruitment company asking for money up front. Complain.
