Guest SUP_R_G
do the bolts need to be tightened to a specific torque?
Bender
do the bolts need to be tightened to a specific torque? Probly yes but that almost impossible to find right torque so the best what you can do is turn bolt a little bit and another one and another and when you finish all you start again you do that few times to make sure you use almost same torque for every each bolt

Homer
Be careful when tightening the cam covers back down, many a person has snapped the cam cover by over tightening. They are little more than hand tight (as the figures Rob posted show!) New bolts and washers should be used, they are not reusable.

Guest d8mof
better do mine as its got a very tiny oil leak from the rear of the rocker cover, thought it was gb-oil until i removed the twin cats to fit a de-cat and found where it was coming from , still not bad for a 15 year old car lol
Jake
I've got some spare cam cover gaskets, left over from a gasket set. You can have them if you like. I've reused the washers and bolts loads of times without any problem. Edit to add: Sorry, I'm on about TT ones. I didn't read the thread properly before posting.
