sparkystav
Basically your after a kind of cruise control system?
TrickTT
Quite a few cars and trucks have it these days. I use it in roadworks mainly - set the maximum speed you want but then have full manual throttle control up to that speed. It would be possible on a vvti with an electronic throttle and the right sort of programmable ecu, but re-engineering the standard cable linkage to allow the cruise control to back the throttle off past the pedal cable position would be just about impossible. stinboy
Accurate enough - any system like this is only a guide anyway. The most obvious advice is to take it steady on stretches you don't know and boot it on those you do i suppose. I've always relied on that as dodgy as it may sound!!
