Guest Budz86
Not sure if this belongs in this section so mod's feel free to move if you want. A friend told me about this website and it seems like a half decent company. They are based in Canada so shipping and import tax would apply (not sure how tax is calculated on this sort of purchase) Anyway, just thought I'd post to see if anyone has any thoughts on them and the stuff they sell. www.tigerjapanese.com Edited October 20, 2008 by Budz86 forgot to include the website! doh! BARGAIN Not really. you can pick up engines for as low as £1200 here and a 5 speed box is only gonna set you back around £
bigbloodyturbo
i'd be wary of them, i used to be into honda's and i remember hearing people from the US asking if they(tigerjapanese) were reliable (as they're in canada) and it seemed to be a bit hit or miss with them. Can post a link to a couple of threads on honda-tech of you like.
mwilkinson
If you read the policy etc. It states that they are unable to verify milage for any of the engines. They say an estimated mileage for the engine is worked out on the age of the vehicle x the average jap drivers annual mileage. What they do say is that most units are between 30,000 and 60,000 (cant remember if it was miles or KM) either way thats not bad. Just look at the pictures, the engines look tidy, but I wonder if they undertake any tests on each engine to make sure there is no internal damage?? If you are talking about the ebay ones they don't come with any auxiliaries hence prices of £750 up.

bolarbag
I've just sold my 55K miles engine for 700, no exhaust side though(Turbos e.t.c) Are we talking 1200for a full engine here including Radiator,SMIC,AirCon,Downpipe e.t.c or just the engine itself? razza
Try returning that if you've any issues though... you're better off hearing the engine run if you can before buying
