erol_h
Its been along while since ive been to a supermarket since i was about 13 -14 roughly. Today went with my gf and omg the place drives me mad i thought people couldnt drive cars there bloody 100x times worse with shopping trolleys. Lost my temper a few times and just barged people out my way and the worst is when people walk towards you stare at you and dont move to the side i dont get it. michael
Crikey, you sound like a mentalist. Let me know next time you go shopping, I'd like to come and watch.
Animal
The phrase "excuse me" has long since fallen out of use.
Mike
Agreed, mentalist. I work long hours too, and still manage to be part of the outside world.
ivan
People just don't seem to smile anymore when they're out shopping. That's why I leave it all to the missus.

Charlotte
I went to the supermarket on Saturday, the first time I'd been at the weekend in ages. I was walking along minding my own business when someone barged passed with such a force it knocked my shopping list out of my hand. How rude! jamesmark
I'm not sure what you mean? Now there is a surprise . Have you never had something happen to you and thought about what you should have said at the time? (only used home as an i.e.)
Charlotte
Now there is a surprise . Have you never had something happen to you and thought about what you should have said at the time? (only used home as an i.e.) Stop picking on me. It's Monday and my brain already hurts. Yes I have been in that position before. However this time I simply told the man in question that he was a t*sser, picked up my paper and continued my shopping.

In all honesty I would have done the same, manners cost nothing these days.
turbonut
Sadly it seems that supermarket shopping brings out the worst in people - selfishness, rudeness and no perception of space!! They seem to mill around aimlessley like drugged cows:moo: Try avoiding traditionally busy periods such as Friday's and weekends. I tend to go on a Monday evening, about 9pm when the weekend madness is over. If you can find one that does 24hr shopping go at silly a.m.

People tend to push trolleys around like they would like to drive their cars IMO, so be warned.

benkei
Where do you shop?! Whenever I'e been shopping, people are usually curtious and you have to be too, that's how it works. If you're in the way and you see someone trying to look at something, if you can, you smile, apologise and move slightly over to let them in. And people usually do the same for you. Mabe it depends WHEN you go? I usually go mid-week during the day, I'd never go on a weekend! Can imagine it'd be madness then!!

It's OK on a Friday night at 9pm, just the chavs trying to buy cheap cider to deal with. Although they have stopped selling the nice bacon I like so I have no reason to go there now.
