Sheefa
Hi guys Been after this for ages but have no idea what it's called. It's a string/instrumental track that's played during the contestent intros every now and then. I thought it was from Gattaca but don't think it is. Whoever can name it gets a beer from me......one day! Cheers Greg

Sheefa
Not that one Bromy, but thanks pal. I heard that before on Black Hawk Down I think. Ity's more purely instrumentals with no drums I think. Damn, it's hard to track this one down.

Gaz Walker
Hi Greg, They also use a lot of music from Craig Armstrong too; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUz95SGG_P8 Best Regards, Gaz.
Supragal
hang on... someone just came in here to ask us (because we work in IT so obviously we'd know...) but they want to know a piece of music from X Factor, all she could say was that it was the background music to Austin's interview and that it's not Craig Armstrong... now I don't watch X-Factor so have no clue but is this the same piece of music being discussed here?? Thorin
Is it, I wonder why, by Curtis Stigers?
stevie_b
This is a slight hijack, but it sounds like Greg's got an answer to his question, so I don't feel so bad! This discussion reminds me of a piece of music I'd like to identify. It's an instrumental piece of music that Top Gear have used a few times, I think once when they did an article driving supercars across that massively high suspension bridge in France. They also used it when Jeremy Clarkson raced some rock climbers to a race up a mountain (I think JC was driving a fast Audi), lost the race, he then challenged them to a race back down. He drove down, they parachuted off the top! PS typing this, based on what others in this thread have said, it's *just* possible that I'm describing Greg's mystery music too! I can't view YouTube at work, so I can't verify this

Wait a minute... if you don't watch it, how are you going to know if we get it right? or are you keeping a short list to send to this person? ..and why do you want to get this so badly anyway? personally I'd ask them to log it and 'do one'...
