b_have
Just replaced my brakes after Llandow and found a very slight (what I assume) n/s/r wheel bearing play. Strange thing is, that there is only movement when rocking the wheel at 12/6, zero play at 9/3. Is this usual? I have searched, but can't find a rwb replacement guide, anyone done one or can offer a step by step? Thanks.
4packet
Get a 2nd person to rock the wheel while you observe/feel for the relative movement. I chased play on that corner for ages. Firstly the top wishbone bushes had failed, fixed that but still had small movement from within the hub. Changed the bearing (not a minor job!), hardly any better. I've now changed the complete hub/upright/driveshaft assembly. That sorted the play, but still didn't sort the low speed knocking noise. Had to replace the damper to cure that. I've got to know that corner pretty well now......
Mike M
Mine did this and turned out to be the upper wishbone.
