MrRalphMan
Wow, just checked through GMAIL and since Oct 2006 I have received 3207 E-Mails from MKIVsupra.net. Just how many e-mails are sent by the forum and what % of the bandwidth is it?

MrRalphMan
So do I, but google mail archives everything. So far I'm using 128MB out of 7.2GB storage.. So I can afford to keep a few more.
Jake
I've just checked, since 11-Dec-2007 I've been sent 11,115 "Reply to thread..." emails And I've still got them all!
jamesmark
Why not just switch the feature off, save the forum some bandwith. Or set it to send an email notification on threads you only want to know about. You bandwith junkies.

I have them going to an email address I stopped using years ago I'll disable it now
Mike
It annoys me enough with the Trader renewal stuff (sorry, yes, it's very worthwhile)... I'd be going mad with an email every time a thread was updated!?

Homer
It annoys me enough with the Trader renewal stuff (sorry, yes, it's very worthwhile)... I'm doing my best to space those out a bit, even though it costs us quite a lot of money. You're certainly not alone to be unhappy about them, but the other options are not favourable to the forum as a whole. BTW: Mawby might have stats on the sent mails but I'd expect it to be in the millions per month. Compared to the bandwidth used by the forum itself it'll be fairly small. It's an important bit of the club
Jake
Why not just switch the feature off, save the forum some bandwith. I find it useful sometimes, especially with edited posts - I can check the email and see what they really said before they bottled it and went back and edited their post. Some of Jazz1's are hysterical but he often thinks better of it and goes back to change it to something else.

Very good point, now I know that some peoples memories are not that good on here after all.
