Guest MaTTi
My car boost 0.7 bar insted of 1.1 so i want to make my own pressure test on the IC pipings, i will go to a garage and blow air with a gun and listen for air leaks in the system, but which housing should i take off and blow the air in, i have a SARD dump valve. Any pic would be nice as well
R Black
Good question, interested in the answer to this too, i have a too plugs (one with a valve so you can attach it to a air hose) for my old car Audi S2for just this purpose. csa
i did that using the vacuum hose going to the top of my dump valve. I also connected a boostgauge to check how much pressure I made in the system worked fine, but I was amazed of haw much air it took to go just above 0,1 bar
miko_supra
i checked my ic hoses a while back and found a small split in one of them. I took the intercooler hose off of the turbo side manifold. Stuck an air pistol in there and sealed it in with insulation tape. 5 minute job and worked a treat.
merckx
I did mine like this, you can do it at home with a normal tyre inflator. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=59939&highlight=tube
