I've already had it/ survived it. I did the right thing and promptly passed it on to friends, family and people in the office so they could see for themselves how close to death I was. michael
I can't believe you've been through it and suffered in silence, not even a simple warning for the rest of us I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight... razor... and surviving.

michael
i've just caught this. Starting to have a wee cough today...any reviews from people on this cold? what am i in for? Seems to be a week long thing with a cough that goes on a bit longer and is hard to shake by all accounts. I'm just in the early sore throat, aches, blocked nose, generally low on awesome stages at the moment though.

This is the stage I am at coughing up mucas, paranoid that something will come flying out your mouth if you do not get your hand up there quick enough. Yep, I'll be getting that one - always ends up on my chest, I've stocked up on the usual foul tasting medicine so I'm ready.

DaveK
I dispute the fact that the it only affects your chest at the end. I started getting this Monday night, and am feeling less than healthy now - and it already feels like it's affecting my chest. Slightly odd feeling actually - as if somebody's punched me in the back. ivan
That's it, I'm staying in bed. My son's been off work with Boy Flu (he's too young for Man Flu IMO) and has just been round to see me. I bet I feel ill tomorrow.

caseys
I fell to the grim death last week. Luckily my mother's in the medical profession, so we had a defibrillator to hand.

You have had a bad cold then, I used to think it was the flu then one year I actually got the flu, omg was that bad I could not move for days on end. If you do suffer from the flu you are off your work a lot longer than a couple of days. Lol it makes me laugh the idiots at work that call in sick and say they have a touch of flu and come in then next day, muppets.

It wasnt a cold I had the other symptoms too, maybe a bug thats going round rather then flu! Aching joints and was up all night monday with hot and cold sweats which was very annoying as i got no sleep. I know i have a strong immune system so bounce back from everything quite quickly. However i would say ill be at about 60% tomorrow at work but its better then being stuck at home!
