hi i have a tt auto and i think my gearbox is beahaving weird :)

it lockups at 60 kmh as it should but if i press the throttle half the way down its jumping out of lockup and goes upp about 800 rpms.. and when i go back to touching the throttle it makes a like shake and locks the trans again.. should it be like this or is something broken?? and another thing... every time i check my trans fluid it show differnt levels :S and i drive about 2 miles and then stops the car and go trough al the gears and check the stick

my english is useles so have patience lol

does sound like a potential fluid level issue, you can check the level cold to the cold level on the dipstick but you also need to check the fluid hot aswell, get the car hot 10 miles down your local motorway should do it, 2 miles would barely have it warm, when hot check the level with the engine idling, also take a note of the colour of the fluid it should be a clear red colour, brown would mean it needs changing

when im going through the gears shall i be standing on the brake or should i reverse the car a little and go forward or just plant the foot on the brake???

to check the level there really is no need to put the box through all the gears just check it when hot when its idling in park or neutral
